Carnival Cruise Line, in partnership with the West End Local Government Township, hosted the West Grand Bahama Easter Egg Community Event on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Commissioner’s Field. The celebration brought together families from across the community for an afternoon filled with fun, laughter and gifts.

The event was part of Carnival Corporation’s ongoing commitment to deepening its roots in The Bahamas and investing in the communities that surround its landmark Celebration Key destination.
Families were welcomed to a variety of activity stations designed to delight children of all ages. The afternoon featured face painting, a sweet treat station serving cotton candy and snow cones, food and beverage offerings, and games and activities for all ages. A highlight for many young attendees was the Easter egg hunt followed by a “fill-your-own” Easter basket and bag station, stocked with assorted candies and fun items including puzzles, beads, Play-Doh and toys.
The Easter Bunny also made a special appearance, delighting young attendees with memorable photo opportunities throughout the afternoon.
“At Carnival Cruise Line, our commitment to The Bahamas is more than commercial, it is personal,” said Philcher Grant, director of public affairs and community engagement, The Bahamas & Turks and Caicos Islands, Carnival Cruise Line. “Events like this one remind us why we do what we do. Seeing children leave with books, smiles and Easter baskets full of surprises is exactly the kind of impact we set out to create. We are proud to stand alongside the West End Local Government Township in celebrating this community.”
The event also featured a free book station offering more than 300 books and each child was invited to select one or two to take home. The books were donated through the Spring Book Drive held at Carnival Corporation’s headquarters in Miami, Fla. thanks to the Carnival Contact Center and its Gives Back team.
“The West End Local Government Township is grateful to Carnival Cruise Line for this incredible show of community spirit,” said Sasha Williams-Francis, chairman and deputy chief councilor, West Grand Bahama District. “Events of this kind remind our residents, especially our youngest ones, that they are seen, celebrated and supported. This partnership is a true blessing for West Grand Bahama.”
A special note of gratitude was extended to Carnival Conquest and Carnival Freedom, whose crew members played a vital role in transporting donations to Celebration Key, making the generosity of Carnival’s Miami team possible on Bahamian shores.
“Carnival Cruise Line is committed to fulfilling our role as a community partner in ways that have a lasting and positive impact. The Bahamas has been an important partner to us for more than 50 years, and we are proud to continue investing in the wellbeing of the people who welcome us to their shores.” Grant added.
