Iddimanngiiu Bianco, Jens-Frederik Nielsen and Peter Borg were supposed to be in Tasiilaq now, but the visit has been postponed indefinitely because the flight on Saturday was cancelled, according to the Chairman’s Department.
The planned visit from three members of Naalakkersuisut in Tasiilaq is not implemented as expected. The visit, which was set to take place from Saturday to Wednesday, has been canceled after the flight Naalakkersuisut was due to take on Saturday was cancelled.
As a result, the political trip to East Greenland has been postponed indefinitely.
The visit should otherwise have brought naalakkersuisut closer to citizens and local actors in Tasiilaq, where for a long time there has been a desire for greater political presence and dialogue about the area’s challenges.
Planned meetings and coffee meeting cancelled
According to the original plan, the chairman of Naalakkersuisut, Jens-Frederik Nielsen (D), together with naalakkersuisoq for housing, infrastructure, outer districts and preparedness, Iddimanngiiu Jensen Bianco (IA), and naalakkersuisoq for fishing, catching, agriculture and self-sufficiency, Peter Borg (D), should have participated in meetings with citizens, institutions and businesses.
An open coffee meeting was also planned in the community center on Sunday, where the citizens should have had the opportunity to meet the naalakkersuisut directly.
That event was also not carried out as planned, and a new date for the visit has not yet been announced.
