The executive body of the National Christian Party “Zartonk” (hereinafter: Zartonk) informs that the party will not participate in the regular elections of the National Assembly on June 7, 2026, taking into account the current political situation and the alignment of the opposition forces.

Zartonk believes that the anti-national and anti-state policy of the “Civil Pact” party has become a great disaster for Armenia and Artsakh. With condescending negotiations and unilateral concessions, the ruling power has further fueled the enemy’s ambitions and created great risks of war.

By including in its program the anti-moral provisions of interfering in the internal affairs of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church, the CP party demonstrated unconstitutional (illegal) behavior.

In these circumstances, Zartonk calls on the party members and compatriots who want the awakening of Armenia to:

A. refrain from electing the “Civil Pact” party or parties affiliated with it;

B. Choose the party or alliance with an opposition stance, which will be governed by the following principles:

1) preservation of the statehood (sovereignty) of Armenia,
2) Restoring the violated rights of the Artsakh people,
3) Support for international recognition and compensation for the Armenian Genocide,
4) Strengthening of the Armenian Army,
5) Valuing the unique mission of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church and ensuring its autonomy.
6) Preservation of national values,
7) Implementation of real steps to eliminate corruption.

Ensuring the security and development of our homeland stems from the awareness and active steps to preserve Christian values, including morality and national value systems.
