Ulaanbaatar,
April 8, 2026 /MONTSAME/. Leaders and representatives of member
organizations and business entities of the Mongolian National Chamber of
Commerce and Industry (MNCCI), the Small and Medium Enterprises Agency of
Mongolia (SME Agency), and the Mongolian Wool and Cashmere Association met with
newly appointed Ambassadors on April 6.
The sides held discussions
on strengthening cooperation between the Chamber, professional associations,
and diplomatic missions, expanding foreign economic cooperation, and increasing
export and investment.
President of the
MNCCI Lkhagvajav Baatarjav delivered opening remarks, noting the importance of
the diplomatic missions’ roles in increasing private sector participation and
expanding export markets. He presented to the newly appointed ambassadors his
proposals on active support for foreign trade and investment, and on tangible opportunities
and resources to increase non-mining exports.
Director of the
SME Agency, Erdenesaikhan Ya, provided detailed information on opportunities to
bring domestic producers to foreign markets, pressing issues, and cooperation
pathways, and started a discussion among participants.
Advisor to the
President Javkhlan Bayarsaikhan briefed on the current situation of the
cashmere, wool, and leather sector, export opportunities, and pressing issues
within the framework of the White Gold national program, initiated by the
President, while business representatives expressed their views.
Newly appointed
ambassadors to 20 foreign countries attended the meeting and expressed that
they will actively cooperate in intensifying bilateral trade and economic cooperation,
supporting domestic producers, and attracting investment.
The sides agreed to
focus on expanding business relations and investor cooperation, as well as
increasing the range and volume of export products, through diplomatic missions.
