MINSK, 11 June (BelTA) – The Round of 16 of the 2026 Euro Winners Cup kicked off in Nazaré, Portugal, BelTA has learned.
Belarus’ champion, BSC Minsk will face the Hungarian Bonyhád BFC in the match for a spot in the quarterfinals (kick-off at 17.30 Minsk time). In the preliminary stage, Dmitry Kamzolov’s team finished first in Group H, defeating Germany’s Bavaria Beach Bazis4-3, Finland’s BSC Hobby 14-3, and France’s Montpellier BS7-1. The Hungarian team finished second in Group I, prevailing over Moldova’s BSC Nistru 6-2, France’s Avenir 3-2 and losing to Ukraine’s Sunrise 1-7. In the playoff match to reach the Round of 16, the champions of Hungary defeated the Polish KP Lodz 6-4 (after extra time). The quarterfinal matches will take place on 12 June, the semifinals on 13 June, and the medal matches on 14 June.
In the previous season, the then-champion of Belarus TsOR Mogilev won the bronze medal of the Euro Winners Cup defeating Spain’s Marbella in a post-match penalty shootout for third place. Italy’s Catania BS defeated Falfala Kafr Qassem (Israel) in the final 6-1 to win the champion title.
