Bin Qurayna: Food security starts from Djelfa

Today, Sunday, the head of the National Construction Movement, Abdelkader Ben Qurayna, continued his electoral campaign for the legislation of July 2, 2026 in the state of Djelfa, where he called for accelerating the pace of development in the state and eliminating development disparities, stressing that Djelfa possesses the economic and human capabilities that qualify it to transform into a pivotal economic and logistical pole at the national level.

During an active popular gathering in the state capital, Ben Qurinah appreciated the complementary development program approved by the President of the Republic for the benefit of Djelfa, stressing that the success of this program remains dependent on accelerating the pace of achievement, fighting bureaucracy and administrative obstacles, and relying on field competencies capable of embodying projects and turning them into a reality that reflects positively on the lives of citizens.

The head of the National Construction Movement stressed that the state of Djelfa is not a marginal or poor region, but rather it is one of the largest reservoirs of livestock in Algeria, which makes it an essential pillar of national food security, especially in the field of meat and milk production. In this context, he called for moving from simply producing raw materials to establishing transformative industries related to livestock, including the valorization of wool, leather, and the food and textile industries, allowing for the creation of wealth and jobs and achieving added value to the national economy.

He also called for transforming Djelfa into a logistical, commercial and services pole linking the various regions of the country, taking advantage of its strategic geographical location and its human and economic potential, with the need to accompany loyalists and farmers and encourage emerging and youth institutions working in the agricultural and pastoral fields.

On the social issue, Bin Qurainah stressed the importance of preserving the purchasing power of citizens, considering that the support provided by the state to the livestock sector should be matched by providing meat at reasonable prices and accessible to various groups, away from monopoly and speculation practices that contribute to rising prices and creating scarcity.

On the other hand, the speaker praised the successes of Algerian youth in the fields of education, innovation, and the knowledge economy, congratulating those who excelled in the intermediate education certificate exams. He also specifically congratulated the young Algerian researcher, Eid Dardabou, who was crowned in the “Stars of Science” program, considering that these models reflect the capabilities of Algerian youth for creativity and excellence.

In a related context, the head of the National Construction Movement warned of the dangers targeting the youth group through social media networks and the campaigns of doubt, rumors, and intrusive ideas that aim to undermine the cohesion and stability of society, in addition to the scourge of drugs and psychotropic substances that constitute a direct threat to societal security.

In this context, he praised the efforts made by the various security services, led by the People’s National Army and the security and customs services, in combating smuggling and drug trafficking networks, stressing that protecting Algerian youth represents a collective responsibility shared by state institutions, society, the family and the media.

Bin Qurainah concluded his intervention by calling for strong participation in the upcoming legislative elections, considering that good selection represents an essential input for enhancing local development, achieving social stability, and responding to citizens’ concerns.
