Microsoft’s co-founder and former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Bill Gates testified behind closed doors to the US House of Representatives Oversight Committee. Gates stated that billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, who was found dead in prison while he was on trial for allegedly running a prostitution network for underage girls, tried to blackmail him by using his extramarital relationships. The prepared opening speech of the famous businessman was presented to the public on the website.
‘I ENDED THE RELATIONSHIP IN 2014’
Referring to the history of his communication with Epstein in his statement to Congress, Bill Gates stated that he first met him in 2011 and had discussions on donation issues. Stating that he completely ended his relationship in 2014 after this process, Gates noted that Epstein had accessed information about his private life and learned about his extramarital affairs. Gates stated that Epstein tried to use this situation against him and said, “Epstein tried to use my betrayals to get me to have a relationship with him again by adding some lies. He failed in this.” he said.
“I Didn’t Witness Any Criminal Acts” Emphasizing that he had no connection with Epstein’s illegal activities, Gates stated that he did not witness any criminal acts by him. Underlining that he never went to the island, farm or Florida house belonging to Epstein, Gates said that he did not victimize anyone. Stating that Epstein may have been trying to establish a personal bond with him, Gates added that he was never interested in such a thing and did not reciprocate.
THE CASE THAT SHOCKED THE USA
Jeffrey Epstein, who was accused of sexually abusing dozens of girls under the age of 18, the youngest of whom was 14, and creating a prostitution network, was found dead on August 10, 2019, in his cell in Manhattan Metropolitan Center Prison in New York, where he was detained. The announced case files included world famous names such as former Prince Andrew, Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, Ehud Barak, Al Gore, Kevin Spacey, Michael Jackson, David Copperfield, Alan Dershowitz and Bill Richardson.
As a result of the investigations carried out by the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the US Department of Justice, it was reported that no evidence was found that a “client list” of famous names was kept. Authorities announced that it was concluded that Epstein, who was allegedly killed to cover up the complicity of people, including government officials and business people, committed suicide in his cell.
