Belizeans living in Taiwan also celebrated the country’s 45th Independence anniversary, despite being thousands of miles away from their homeland.
A gala was held at the Diplomatic Quarter, where Belizeans gathered to celebrate, and dance to Belizean rhythms. Videos of the vent showed Belizeans dancing to Supa G, and enjoying Belizean celebrations.
“What a wonderful evening celebrating Belize at 45,” the embassy said in a social media post, thanking the Belize Taiwan Association for coordinating the event. The embassy said it hopes to grow the Gala further next year and bring out even more of the Belizean community abroad.
Back at home, Belize held its annual uniform parade and the Orange Walk Carnival Road March this already underway for this afternoon.
