Bajrami: We have slipped into the party-state, the state budget “passed” the filter in the VV then in the Government, for Kurti the party does not ask about the law

The Deputy of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Hykmete Bajrami, has said that, according to the Law on Public Finance Management and Responsibilities, the Government is obliged to submit the Draft Law on the Budget to the Assembly no later than October 31.
However, Bajrami added, today, which is October 31, the Draft Law for the Budget of 2027 has not yet been approved by the Government.
Prime Minister Kurti has warned in the General Council of his party that he will approve the budget on Monday, November 2. Last year, precisely on October 31, Kurti boasted that he was approving the budget within the legal deadline. This year, I proudly decided to break this deadline as well. But, since we have already slipped into a party-state, the budget of the Republic first “passes” the filter of the General Council of the LVV, then it will be approved by the Government and after every legal deadline it will be sent to the Assembly”, she wrote among other things.
Bajrami also added that, according to her, for Albin Kurti, “the party does not ask about the law and legal deadlines, the party determines the order of things”.

The state budget, first in the party and then in the institutions?!
According to the Law on Public Finance Management and Responsibilities, the Government is obliged to submit the Draft Law on the Budget to the Assembly no later than October 31.
Today is October 31, but the Draft Law for the Budget of 2027 has not yet been approved by the Government. Prime Minister Kurti has warned in the General Council of his party that he will approve the budget on Monday, November 2.
Last year, precisely on October 31, Kurti boasted that he was approving the budget within the legal deadline. This year, I proudly decided to break this deadline as well.
But, since we have already slipped into a party-state, the budget of the Republic first “passes” the filter of the General Council of the LVV, then it will be approved by the Government and after every legal deadline it will be sent to the Assembly.
The law determines the order of institutions, but for Albin Kurti, the party does not ask about the law and legal deadlines, the party determines the order of things.
While we will talk about over 1 billion euros announced for capital investments after seeing the draft budget.
Most likely, this time the money has also been provided for the international company that Dimali has planned and engaged to show him the quantity and quality of the works on the Gjilan Highway, after about 80 million euros have been spent and the road is still not finished, as well as for other road projects that the LVV government has not been able to complete for six years now.
It is one thing to distribute 1 billion euros on paper, and quite another to turn them into roads, schools, hospitals and completed projects.
Citizens do not need billions in conferences and party meetings. They need results!
Citizens need physical and legal security, respect for the law by the heads of state, because if the Government does not respect the laws and legal deadlines, how can it demand this from its subordinates?
The budget belongs to the state/citizens, not the party. The law and legal deadlines apply and must be respected even by the governors.
Nobody above the Law!
Responsibility!
