Exams: The Ministry of National Education reports 4,126 cases of fraud during the ordinary session of the unified national Baccalaureate exam. Reports were drawn up for all the cases noted and will be submitted, in the coming days, to the competent regional commissions.
Cases of fraud in baccalaureate exams are on the rise. According to statistics from the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports, 4,126 cases were recorded during the ordinary session of the unified national baccalaureate exam, held from June 4 to 6. A figure up 49% compared to the 2025 session. According to the ministry, this increase is explained by the vigilance of the teams responsible for surveillance and control, as well as the generalization of the use of the electronic system for detecting cases of fraud. Reports have been drawn up for all the cases noted and will be submitted, in the coming days, to the competent regional commissions in order to decide on the necessary disciplinary sanctions, in accordance with the provisions of Law 02.13 relating to the repression of fraud in school exams.
The ministry affirms that it will strictly apply all the provisions in force against any candidate caught in the act of fraud. That said, the ordinary baccalaureate session took place in good conditions, both educationally and organizationally, indicates the department of national education. The test correction operation began in 283 centers, with the participation of 31,622 teachers who were mobilized to carry out this operation. The deliberations will take place on June 16, while the results will be announced on June 17.
Note that the remedial session will take place on July 2, 3 and 4, 2026 while the results will be announced on July 11, 2026. Remember that to ensure the smooth running of the tests, the ministry has taken all the necessary organizational and logistical measures. Thus, 2,007 examination centers were made available comprising 26,407 rooms. More than 107,432 supervisors were mobilized as well as 2007 observers, 31,622 correctors, approximately 164 regional supervisors as well as 82 regional supervisors responsible for monitoring correction operations. In total, 597 subjects were prepared for the ordinary and remedial sessions, including 79 subjects adapted to candidates with disabilities.
This year was marked by the use of the electronic fraud detection system at the examination centers with nearly 2,000 units. Logistical and technical support was also provided to local teams. In addition, training sessions were organized for the benefit of 4,014 educational and administrative executives in order to guarantee optimal use of these systems to detect and prevent cases of fraud.
