The state-owned company 2TDK fulfilled the prediction and already in the first days of June submitted a request to the Ministry of Environment and Space for the issuance of an integral construction permit for the left, parallel track on the railway connection between Divača and Koper. This is another important milestone, as the integral building permit combines both the documentation for obtaining the building permit and the environmental impact assessment. The construction permit for the left track is expected in the spring of 2027. There will be a tender for the selection of contractors later this year. Construction will be much cheaper than it was for the right track. Vinjan will also get a left viaduct designed by designer Marjan Pipenbaher. The right one was built by the workers of Kolektor CPG.
