Thirty-nine-year-old Johnson Abraham of Antrizile has died following a road traffic collision in Marigot on Thursday night.
According to a statement from the Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force (CDPF), the police said the crash occurred at approximately 10:00 PM on July 2, 2026, along the North End Public Road.
Preliminary investigations indicate that Abraham was driving a Nissan Skyline south along the roadway when the vehicle apparently veered off the road and plunged into a ditch on the eastern side.
The impact left the vehicle extensively damaged.
The CDPF said that Abraham was the sole occupant of the vehicle. He sustained injuries in the crash and was transported to the Marigot Hospital, where he was examined by a medical doctor and pronounced dead.
Police said his body has since been taken to a funeral home, where it will remain pending an autopsy.
The CDPF has extended its sincere condolences to Abraham’s family and loved ones as investigations into the fatal collision continue.
