A citizen has reported a case of fraud where he received an SMS about a loan offer. The only catch is that you have to pay a certain amount. However, the loan never came.
Another review about a fraud case being reported to the Greenland Police on Thursday morning.
This time it concerns a citizen who has been cheated by responding to an SMS.
– A citizen had received an SMS stating that the bank was offering a loan. The catch is that the citizen would first have to pay to provide security. But the loan never came, says chief of duty at the Greenland Police Aputsiaq Hansen to Sermitsiaq.
He says that the matter is still being investigated. The police cannot therefore state whether there is a suspect in the case.
– However, I can say that we do not believe that the two fraud cases we are investigating are connected. We are investigating them separately, says Aputsiaq Hansen.
The police received a report of a fraud on Wednesday morning, where a person had been cheated by an offer of a quick loan online, where the person had to pay before the loan could be received. The money didn’t come either.
