The Qatari Ministry of Interior announced that an explosion occurred “following a technical accident” today, Sunday, in a factory in the area Ras LaffanIt is the country’s main liquefied natural gas processing center north of the capital Doha.
The Ministry reported that there were casualties “without any leakage threatening the safety of individuals.”
The Ministry did not specify the exact location of the explosion, but an informed source said that it occurred at the Barzan Gas Plant in Ras Laffan as a result of an “operational” error.
