Yesterday afternoon, April 29, the President of the Republic, Kais Saied, received at the Carthage Palace the two Messrs. Samir Abdel Hafeez, Minister of Economy and Planning, and Fathi Zuhair Al-Nouri, Governor of the Central Bank of Tunisia, where they gave a presentation on the results of their participation in the spring meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group.
The Head of State reiterated. According to a statement from the Presidency of the Republic, Tunisia, by relying on its exclusive national choices and relying on itself, has achieved positive results, especially in the field of controlling inflation rates and improving growth indicators. In this context, he stressed the need for these results to be reflected in the daily life of the citizen and in all of his natural rights, such as health, transportation, education, and social provision.
The President of the Republic stressed that Tunisia will not submit to any external dictates or pressures and that its voice should be heard loudly and clearly in various international seminars and forums.
The Head of State stated that many were betting on failure, but the Tunisian people, with their cohesion and deep awareness, refuted their illusions and thwarted their attempts. When it comes to the homeland, the Tunisian people are capable of achieving what skeptics find impossible.
During this meeting, the President of the Republic received the financial statements for the year 2025 from the Governor of the Central Bank of Tunisia, along with the auditors’ report.
