Masam removes 2,164 mines from various Yemeni territories in a week
In the fourth week of June 2026, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center “Masam” project to clear Yemeni lands of mines was able to remove (2,164) mines in various regions of Yemen, including (81) anti-tank mines, (6) anti-personnel mines, (2,072) unexploded ordnance, and (5) explosive devices.
In Aden Governorate, the “Masam” team removed two anti-personnel mines and (460) unexploded ordnance. In Qa’taba District, Al-Dhalea Governorate, the team cleared (87) unexploded ordnance and one explosive device. In Hays District, Hodeidah Governorate, the team cleared one anti-tank mine, and in Al-Mukalla District, Hadhramaut Governorate, the team cleared two anti-personnel mines and (1,405) unexploded ordnance. One explosive device and one explosive device, while in the Midi District of Hajjah Governorate, (77) anti-tank mines, two anti-personnel mines, (82) unexploded ordnance, and one explosive device were removed.
In Shabwa Governorate, the team removed (9) unexploded ordnance in Usaylan District, and in Taiz Governorate, the team cleared one anti-tank mine and (7) unexploded ordnance in Al-Mukha District, two anti-tank mines, (13) unexploded ordnance, and two explosive devices in Dhubab District, and (9) unexploded ordnance in Salah District.
Thus, the number of mines removed since the beginning of June has risen to (6,786) mines, while the number of mines removed since the beginning of the “Masam” project has risen so far to (571,125) mines, after they were planted randomly in various Yemeni territories to claim the lives of innocent children, women, and the elderly, and to instill fear in the hearts of the safe.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Relief Center, continues its efforts to clear Yemeni lands of mines, as part of a project that enhances the safety of civilians and contributes to enabling the Yemeni brothers to live a dignified and safe life.
