Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to Belgium, Sapar Palvanov, visited the headquarters of Air Belgium, where he met with the company’s CEO, Georges Chashati.
During the talks, the parties discussed the results of Shashati’s recent visit to Turkmenistan and the agreements reached to launch cargo flights through Ashgabat International Airport. Particular attention was paid to the practical and technical aspects of the upcoming flight launch.
The parties also considered the possibility of holding a ceremony to mark Air Belgium’s first cargo flight via Ashgabat, which is scheduled for early August of this year.
Georges Shashati noted the important role of Ashgabat International Airport as a reliable and attractive logistics hub for international cargo transportation, with facilities for refueling and aircraft maintenance.
Ambassador Palvanov, in turn, emphasized that Turkmenistan is consistently strengthening its role as a transport bridge between Asia and Europe.
