Haris Stavrou of the Greek portal Sport24 reports that ASVEL are pursuing the signature of Nigel Williams-Goss.
The 31-year-old American has another one-year contract with “Žalgiris”, which can be extended for another year in 2027, so ASVEL would have to pay a ransom in order to realize this desire to acquire one of the most expensive basketball players of the Kaunas team.
N. Williams-Goss averaged 11.5 points, 2.4 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 11 utility points in the EuroLeague for Zalgiris this season.
Olympiakos defender Frank Ntilikina, Baskonia forward Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot, Cholet Basket forward Gerald Ayayi and Nanterre forward Mathis Dossou-Yovo are among ASVEL’s targets.
However, the club is putting most of its efforts to sign a contract with Guerschon Yabusele, who spent the last two seasons in the NBA, and before leaving for Atlantic, he wore the shirt of Real Madrid.
It is also mentioned that the club is seeking contracts with Olympiakos center Moustapha Fall and Hapoel Jerusalem center Austin Wiley.
Next season, the team manager ASVEL president and NBA legend Tony Parker will be the coach. He will be assisted by Vincent Collet, who won as many as 13 medals during his career with the French national team.
