KUCHING (June 26): Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg visited the grave of his wife Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang on Friday morning to mark the first anniversary of her passing.
The Premier was accompanied by his daughter Dayang Norjihan during the visit at the Samariang Muslim Cemetery, where they offered prayers and poured scented water over Juma’ani’s grave.
A post shared on the Premier’s Facebook page Sarawakku reflected on the enduring memories of Juma’ani, describing her as not only the Premier’s life partner, but also his steadfast source of strength and unwavering support throughout his personal and political journey.
The post also highlighted Juma’ani’s lasting legacy among Sarawakians, describing her as humble, gentle, and approachable, with a genuine warmth that endeared her to people from all walks of life.
The Sarawakku post concluded with prayers, asking Allah SWT to grant Juma’ani forgiveness and place her among the righteous in paradise.
Juma’ani passed away at 3.34am on June 23, 2025 at the Normah Medical Specialist Centre in Kuching. She was 76.
