As confirmed for N1, an incident took place last night around 9 pm in the Linglong factory in Zrenjanin, in which one person lost his life.
The police and the prosecutor’s office went to the field, and the body was sent for an autopsy, they told za N1 from the MUP.
On the occasion of the death of a worker in the facilities of the Chinese factory Linglong, the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Zrenjanin announced today.
In the statement he transmits Zrenjaninthe Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Zrenjanin states that on June 18, police officers of the Police Administration in Zrenjanin were informed that a worker had been injured in the production facility at the Linglong factory in Zrenjanin.
“After receiving the above information, the public prosecutor on duty in the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Zrenjanin, together with the chief public prosecutor, went to the scene and in cooperation with the police officers, an investigation was carried out,” said chief public prosecutor Mladen Vujin.
During the investigation, it was established that the worker DA (31) from Bočar was injured and killed in the production facility of the Linglong factory in Zrenjanin.
“On the spot, the video recordings of the security cameras were removed, an insight into them was achieved, interviews were conducted with all witnesses, and an expert opinion was carried out by the competent expert in the field of occupational safety. Based on the established facts, it follows that the injury and death of the DA worker from Bočar occurred as a result of non-compliance with the rules in the work process by the victim,” stated Vujin.
He added that in the coming period, the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Zrenjanin will inform the public about the final public prosecutor’s decision regarding this tragic event.
Linglong previously accused of forced labor
N1 reminds that in December 2025, the US Customs and Border Protection Service issued an order to detain the goods of the Linglong car tire factory from Zrenjanin.
Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials said at the time that they would detain shipments of these tires at all U.S. ports because of evidence that forced labor was used in their production.
