A cultural and educational event dedicated to the 35th anniversaries of independence of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan was held at the National Research University “Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers.”
Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Sh. Meredov, and the University’s Rector, B. Mirzaev, addressed the gathering with welcoming speeches, noting the importance of independence for the sustainable development of both countries, the high level of Turkmen-Uzbek relations, and the role of youth in strengthening friendship between the two fraternal peoples, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The event featured a concert featuring students, including Turkmen nationals studying at Uzbek universities. Musical pieces in Turkmen and Uzbek were performed, celebrating the independence, peace, friendship, and cultural heritage of the two countries.
Representatives of the diplomatic corps and faculty were present at the ceremony as invited guests.
We previously reported that nineteen students from the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers completed a professional internship at the S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University.
