“Air Algerie” announced the opening of employment for flight attendants and flight attendants who hold the Safety and Rescue Certificate (CSS), with fixed-term work contracts for the Air Operations Directorate through its airport bases in Oran, Algiers, Constantine and Annaba.
The Foundation stipulated that the candidate be of Algerian nationality, enjoy full civil rights, be between 19 and 35 years old, possess a baccalaureate degree and a valid Safety and Rescue Certificate (CSS), in addition to having good physical fitness, good appearance and behavior, and mastery of at least two foreign languages.
The company also set special requirements for height, as the height of the female candidates must be between 1.60 m and 1.75 m, and the height of the male candidates must be between 1.70 m and 1.85 m, with good visual acuity without prescription glasses, and the ability to pass the various stages of selection.
The nomination file consists of a written application, an updated CV, a copy of the baccalaureate certificate, a copy of the safety and rescue certificate, a birth certificate, a residence certificate proving residence within a vicinity not exceeding 25 kilometers from the airport base, in addition to a status document towards national service for males, and a recent photograph.
“Air Algerie” invited those wishing to nominate to submit their files via email (email protected)within a maximum period of eight days from the date of publication of the announcement, stressing that the response will be exclusively to files that meet all conditions.
The company explained that the selection process will take place in three stages, including physical selection and personal interview, then a written test, and finally a medical examination for candidates who successfully pass the various tests.
The opening of the door to hiring flight attendants and flight attendants comes as a continuation of a previously announced recruitment process, at a time when “Air Algerie” is witnessing the largest expansion process in its history since its founding, within the framework of a comprehensive program to renew the fleet and enhance human resources to keep pace with the rapid growth in air transport traffic. This program includes the acquisition of 44 new aircraft, in the largest strengthening process for the fleet in about four decades, in addition to allocating five aircraft exclusively for air cargo activity, which raises the logistical capabilities of the national carrier and supports Algerian exports outside the hydrocarbons sector.
This coincides with the implementation of an ambitious plan to expand the international flight network, after launching a number of new destinations over the past two years, including N’Djamena, Johannesburg, Addis Ababa, Guangzhou as a second destination in China, and Kuala Lumpur, in addition to the launch of the Algiers-Luanda line, with new lines to Maputo, Accra, Lagos and Libreville, in addition to preparing to launch flights to Shanghai in the future of 2027, as well as other European destinations such as Rotterdam. And Budapest, which enhances Algeria’s presence in Africa and consolidates its position as an air hub linking the African continent, Europe and Asia.
This expansion is not limited to the acquisition of aircraft and the opening of new routes, but also includes the restructuring of “Air Algerie” and transforming it into an integrated complex that includes branches specialized in domestic transport, air freight, catering, ground services, and maintenance, in addition to establishing an academy for training in aviation professions, in parallel with modernizing the infrastructure and digital services at airports.
The recruitment announcement reflects the national carrier’s need to strengthen its qualified human resources to keep pace with this new phase, through which “Air Algerie” is betting on enhancing its competitiveness regionally and internationally and expanding its presence in global markets.
