Cooperation between the European Union and Algeria

The European Union Commissioner for the Mediterranean, Dubravka Swisa, will pay an official visit to Algeria today, Monday, and tomorrow, Tuesday, May 5, “to discuss bilateral and regional cooperation between the European Union and Algeria,” according to the European Union delegation to Algeria.
The discussions will focus, according to the same source, “on opportunities for cooperation within the framework of the Mediterranean Charter, in the areas of trade, investment, energy, migration and security.”
Commissioner Chueca will hold high-level meetings with representatives of a number of ministries, where discussions, according to the same source, will address “the long-term partnership in the field of energy between the European Union and Algeria, and ways to jointly promote the green transition.”
