KUCHING (April 14): Padawan police have arrested five individuals aged between 22 and 39 for alleged involvement in drug abuse in Kota Sentosa and Batu Kawa on Monday.
Padawan police headquarters in a statement said two of the suspects, aged 22 and 29, were also detained under Section 12(2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 for possession of crystalline substances believed to be methamphetamine.
All five suspects tested positive for drugs and were also arrested under Section 15(1)(a) of the same Act.
They are currently in custody to assist in investigations.
