A young woman reported to the Police an alleged act of family violence and the aggressor would be the former Paraguayan senator Cubas. Apparently, the complainant is the politician’s partner.
This Tuesday, the National Police received a complaint for alleged family violence and the incident occurred at the Armele Hotel, located in the center of Asunción.
The complainant, identified as María Luján Denis Barreto (23), denounced who would be his partner, the former senator Paraguayan Cubas for physical and verbal attacks.
According to what the young woman reported to the uniformed officers who were at the hotel, it wouldn’t be the first time that the politician presents similar behavior towards her.
After her complaint, it was ordered that the woman be transferred to the Barrio Obrero Hospital for a medical inspection, since she would present marks and bruises.

Background of Paraguayan Cubas
Former Paraguayan senator Cubas (64) has a record of coercion, resistance, damages, as well as a case for disturbance of public peace in the framework of the general elections in which he faced Santiago Peña, Efraín Alegre and other candidates.

For the latter, he had been deprived of his freedom for two months in 2023, until he was benefited with the house arrest measure that he had to fulfill it in the aforementioned hotel and under daily police controls.
