In observation of the inaugural Dr. Carissa Etienne Primary Health Care Week, a special address was delivered by the Minister for Health, Wellness and Social Services, Honourable Cassanni Laville.
This commemorative week features a series of planned activities aimed at highlighting the significance of primary health care in Dominica.
Among the key events are a health symposium and a recognition ceremony, both scheduled for Thursday, April 16, at 9:00 AM.
These activities will be held at the Amphitheatre of the Dominica China Friendship Hospital.
“Dr Etienne carried the strength, resilience and spirit of Dominica to the highest levels of international health leadership,” said the health minister. “It is only fitting that we honour her legacy by strengthening what she stood for.”
