MIAMI.- Increase in air frequencies, fan zone with views of the bay, screens with live match broadcasts or cultural presentations and concerts These are some of the proposals that will be in Miami during the World Cup.
The matches will be played in the Hard Rock Stadiumlocated between Miami and Fort Lauderdalewhich allows the flow of tourists to be distributed between both cities and expand the offer of accommodation, gastronomy and entertainment.
The meeting point for fans will be at Fan Festivalorganized by the World Cup host committee. The event will take place from June 13 to July 5 in Miami’s Bayfront Park and will be open to the public with free access. For 23 days, the park located in a strategic position in front of the enormous bay that divides the continent with Miami Beach will be transformed into a large entertainment center with live broadcasts of matches, concerts, musical shows, cultural presentations, gastronomic proposals, games and interactive experiences for fans. The festival will be a meeting point for both those who have tickets for the matches and for those who want to experience the World Cup atmosphere in the city.
For fans without tickets, the action continues in the Miami sports bars, breweries, restaurants and outdoor spaceseveryone preparing with giant screens and special experiences for game days. Some of them are:
The Doral Yardan outdoor space in Doral that features large screens, a semi-covered grass area and casual seating, ideal for groups of all sizes. It has a good quality food court and indoor and outdoor seating option. A stage features live music and various events.
He Bayshore Club in Coconut Grovecombines views across Biscayne Bay with plenty of televisions viewed from the bar, in the main dining room, or in casual outdoor seating near the sand. Twelve televisions located in the bar – in addition to a giant screen made up of four connected monitors – make it easy to follow each meeting. The menu features fresh seafood and creative bites.
Clevelander South Beach consolidates itself as the destination par excellence to enjoy American football on Ocean Drive, Miami Beach, but this time it will bring together fans of the soccer. On the terrace and inside bars, huge screens, powerful speakers and DJs set the pace, with a gastronomic offer with lots of seafood and craft beer.
Blackmarket Miami is proclaimed “the sportsbar for Miamians, by Miamians.” It is a huge enclosed space in downtown wallpapered with memorabilia from American football teams. The gigantic space has more than 30 televisions.
La Tropical Brewerylocated in Wynwood, is a large brewery located inside a spacious garden, with comfortable sofas and sturdy wooden tables. It will have three large screens strategically located to view from anywhere. As the official brewery of Inter Miami CF, La Tropical offers the team’s signature beers, along with a rotating selection of craft beers.
Manoloin South Beach, is the place for the Albiceleste fan par excellence. With televisions throughout the premises and very Argentine cuisine, one block from the sea, it is also a meeting center for street celebrations when the team wins. Manolo is just one of the many Argentine restaurants where games are broadcast.
However, for now Argentina plays in Kansas City and Dallas. How to get there? First, tickets to the United States have not yet become so expensive. Air tickets to Miami or New York without a stop can be obtained between US$ 1,100 and US$ 1,400 depending on the date, although there are options such as Sky Airline with a stopover in Peru for less than US$ 900, or Arajet with a stopover in Santo Domingo, among others.
American Airlines has just increased its capacity to New York (JFK) and will offer up to three daily flights to Miami (MIA), adding three additional weekly frequencies compared to the previous season, as well as four weekly flights to Dallas Fort Worth.
With these added frequencies and larger aircraft, American will increase its seating capacity by 30% this year compared to the 2025 season.
Those who travel to Miami should think about rent a careven if it is to move within the city. However, many Argentines will get on four wheels to go to Kansas or Dallas, the places where Messi’s team will play in the group stage.
“A week of a standard car on that date is around US$450. We have not raised the prices, and we give discounts when it is at least 15 days of rental,” says Fernanda Lodi, founder of Vic rent a car. For them, June is never high season, while in July and August demand usually increases. “But with the World Cup we have had a lot of demand in June, which is not so common. Many people are coming even without having a ticket. If they find it great and if not, they stay here on vacation. I think that many who had planned to come in July have also brought forward their trip thinking about whether they can go to the World Cup. Without a doubt, demand has increased a lot and we know that is why,” he adds. From Miami to Kansas City it is 21 hours by car and Dallas is 20 (non-stop).
The other option to see the team is to opt for a domestic flight, and here we already notice a price increase. For example, an air ticket to see Argentina in Kansas on June 16 starts at US$365 that morning with one stopover on the way out and two on the way back. Direct flights start at US$500.
The airport of Fort Lauderdale (30 minutes from Miami without traffic) can be a cheaper option, from where several low cost flights take off and it is friendlier because it is smaller. It is always convenient to quote from both airports, because sometimes it can be significantly cheaper.
In the case of Kansasthe prices are similar, but to go to Dallas, JetBlue leaves from Fort Lauderdale for US$212 non-stop for the June 22 game, while a non-stop from Miami costs US$485, that is, more than double that from Fort Lauderdale.
The hotel and apartment rental sector registered a price increase for that date, although some operators are granting promotions. “We have a lot of inquiries. The prices are higher than the previous season. It is known that there will be a strong demand. What we did for the dates of the World Cup is to give benefits of free nights. The more you stay, the more nights you accumulate free of charge. We launched a proposal that consists of, if they are staying in our apartments and travel to see the national team in Kansas or Dallas, we will subsidize those game nights, so that they can base themselves in Miami and leave their purchases and suitcases in the apartment. They can go see the game and not pay for double accommodation for that night,” says Federico Kaisin, founder of Miami Beach Rental. A stay in a nice apartment that generally costs US$250, for World Cup nights starts at US$480.
To enter the United States you need a visa. Those who have purchased official World Cup tickets can access the FIFA Visa Pass, a system that allows you to request priority slots for visa interviews. Although it does not guarantee approval of the procedure, it can speed up times.
You must log in FIFA.com and complete the consent form for the “FIFA PASS”. To process the visa at the United States Embassy, you must enter the US Embassy website. State Department (CEAC), complete the DS-160 form and continue the established steps.
