Note by Klodian Tomorri: Where does Mr. Teqja’s success come from?
Dionis Teqja, the owner of Megatek, has filed a lawsuit against a large number of portals in Albania, where he requests the removal of a news item and the fine of 500 thousand euros to his colleague Arsen Rusta and 20 thousand euros to other portals.
The judge has decided to secure the lawsuit and says in the decision to remove the fraudulent news. So, without judging the case on its merits, he decided that it is fraudulent news. Nay.
In the lawsuit, Mr. Teqja says that he is a well-known and successful entrepreneur with activities inside and outside the country, whose reputation has been seriously damaged.
Now, everyone has the right to seek compensation when they are injured, there is no question about that. There is no doubt that Mr. Teqja is a well-known and successful entrepreneur. But even recognition and success come from somewhere.
To God Teqja, his success first came when he connected with the family of a former mayor and in exchange he got the monopoly of Tirana’s garbage in Sharre. And the corrupt connection or at least the conflict of interest there has been so flagrant, that the family members were on the board of Mr. Teqja’s companies.
And he became well-known due to the fact that minors worked in his company, who performed heavy physical work. The Megatek of the well-known businessman seriously injured two minors at work and took the life of a 32-year-old employee.
But Mr. Teqja did not get a single thorn in his leg for these feats that make him famous and successful. Now he, together with a judge who graduated from correspondence school, want to fine a journalist half a million euros, for a news story that is true, but that may have had some exaggerated interpretation in the title.
Because both Mr. Teqja and the judge with part-time education count the 500,000 euros with their box and know that they have them all.
