The Deputy Prime Minister for Foreign and European Affairs, Filip Ivanović, in a post on the Iks network, said that the Day of Montenegrin Diplomacy is an opportunity to remind ourselves of the importance of the diplomatic service in preserving the reputation, interests and international position of Montenegro.
“With the founding of the Prince’s Office for Foreign Affairs in Cetinje in 1874, the foundations of organized diplomatic activity of Montenegro and its international representation were laid,” he reminded.
Ivanović says that he extends special thanks to all diplomats and officials of the diplomatic-consular network of Montenegro, who consistently represent the country and its interests on the international stage with their professionalism, responsibility and dedication.
“In the final phase of the EU integration process, their role remains of particular importance for the affirmation of reform results, the strengthening of the country’s credibility and the realization of a strategic foreign policy goal. Happy Day of Montenegrin Diplomacy”, Ivanović concluded.
