They also add that the task of the soldiers is to defend the constitutional order, independence and civil character of the state of Montenegro, along with the dignity that was restored with the restoration of independence in 2006.
“The Women’s Forum of the European Union condemns in the strongest terms and with full indignation that members of the Montenegrin Army glorify the Chetnik ideology and sing songs dedicated to Draža Mihailović – Uncle Draža, a Chetnik duke and war criminal who collaborated with the occupiers and was on the losing side of history. Young guys, this is not in accordance with the values that our ancestors fought for, who were on the right side of history and thus made a great sacrifice for the freedom that we have today we live, and which cost us dearly”, emphasized the ES Women’s Forum.
They also call on the Minister of Defense, Dragan Krapović, to react urgently and “without delay, remove the singing young men from the service, and initiate disciplinary proceedings against them in accordance with the Constitution and the laws of our country”.
