Gellért Jászai, CEO of 4iG Nyrt., held talks in Washington accompanied by Hungarian Ambassador Szabolcs Takács, where he met with several key figures in the U.S. administration. The discussions focused on the defense industry, the space industry, and the development of digital infrastructure.
The Budapest-based company’s CEO announced in a LinkedIn post that the purpose of the meetings was to further strengthen Hungarian-American relations, with a particular focus on the “fields of space and defense, including the strategic ambitions shared by 4iG Space and Defense Technologies its US partners.”
He also held discussions with Conor Coleman, Head of Investments at the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation.
The talks covered 4iG’s financing opportunities, particularly in the areas of defense and space industry projects, as well as digital infrastructure.
The discussions included a meeting with Charles J. McLaughlin IV, Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Europe and Russia at the National Security Council. During this meeting, the parties reviewed ongoing Hungarian-American cooperation, as well as changes in the geopolitical environment and regional opportunities.
In addition, a meeting took place with Daniel J. Lawton, Deputy Assistant Secretary at the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, where
the focus was on the technological landscape in Central and Eastern Europe and bilateral relations.
Gellért Jászai emphasized that 4iG is committed to deepening its existing partnerships in the United States. “The objective is to engage with cutting-edge technologies, foster new investments, and establish further strategic alliances that will shape the future of innovation and cooperation,” he added.
