The city center of Saint-Marc has been under the influence of scenes of violence since Saturday, May 3, 2026. Unidentified individuals, hooded and armed with sticks, machetes and bioches, spontaneously took over national road number 1 and the side streets, claiming to be acting, “with the aim of forcing the commune to show solidarity with the locality of Jean-Denis”, victim in recent days of repeated massacres.
