Today, Tuesday, Prime Minister Seifi Gharib chaired a government meeting devoted to studying several projects.
According to the Prime Minister’s statement of interests, the government has continued to study the draft executive decree that specifies the conditions and methods for approving materials for construction, maintenance, and exploitation of public works facilities and infrastructure facilities.
The statement stated that this project determines the technical standards for the materials used in the framework of public works completion and sets a reference framework with the aim of ensuring the quality and safety of basic facilities.
On another level, the statement adds, the government listened to a presentation on the National Addressing Reference Project and its social and economic impacts on the horizons of 2030. This project falls: “at the heart of the directives of the President of the Republic and the state’s efforts to modernize public facilities and consolidate digital transformation. It also represents a strategic tool for reorganizing urban spaces, improving the quality of public services, and moving towards smart, data-based governance.”
On the other hand, and within the framework of monitoring the comprehensive health situation, the government listened to a presentation on the epidemiological situation of transmitted diseases subject to compulsory declaration at the national and international levels, as well as on the measures taken to strengthen the mechanisms of prevention and response to these diseases.
On this occasion, it was noted that infectious diseases continue to pose a major challenge to the national health system, which calls for strengthening early detection capabilities and digitizing information reporting systems, as well as increasing coordination between sectors and strengthening the capacity to confront epidemic risks.
In conclusion, the government heard a report on financing the national social security system, which dealt in particular with the financial situation of social security and retirement funds, in light of demographic changes and the growth rate of spending. In this regard, the need to develop a comprehensive action plan was emphasized to ensure the effectiveness of the social protection system, its sustainability and its impact on social integration.
