The plane departed from Miami at 7:30 local time (11:30 GMT) and arrived in Venezuela at 10:18 (14:18 GMT), 27 minutes ahead of schedule, according to data from the Venezuelan airport.
The return flight to the United States is scheduled for this Friday at 12:30 local time (16:30 GMT).
Laser offers direct trips with a daily frequency from Miami to Caracas and vice versa.
The flights are operated on an Airbus A320 plane with capacity for 150 passengers, the company detailed on April 22, which did not specify ticket prices at the time.
Laser joined the same American Airlines itinerary, which reactivated the Miami-Caracas route this Thursday, and vice versa, and marked the resumption of direct flights between the United States and Venezuela, seven years after its suspension.
Direct commercial flights between both countries were suspended in 2019 amid tensions between the governments of the then Venezuelan president, Nicolás Maduro, and his American counterpart, Donald Trump, who was in his first term (2017-2021).
The authorization of flights came after the United States Department of Transportation approved in March the resumption of services to the airports of Maiquetía and Maracaibo – capital of Zulia (west) – by American, and the Transportation Security Administration carried out recent inspections in Caracas.
