As Milatović’s cabinet said, as part of the Summit, the president will attend the plenary session and co-chair the round table on “Strengthening democratic resilience and dealing with hybrid threats” together with Romanian President Nikušor Dan.
“The president will participate in the second informal meeting of the European Coalition to Fight Drugs, initiated by French President Macron and Italian Prime Minister Meloni, and he will also attend a working dinner hosted by Armenian President Vahan Khachaturian and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan,” Milatović’s office said.
They add that Milatović will also have a bilateral meeting with the President of the European Council, Antonio Košto.
The summit will bring together a number of European and international leaders, including Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, who is taking part in this summit for the first time.
The summit is being held at an important moment for Europe and is a platform for discussions on key issues of security, economic and energy stability, as well as strengthening democratic resilience.
“The participation of President Milatović represents a continuation of intensive diplomatic activity with a clear focus on accelerating the country’s European path and further affirming Montenegro as the next member of the European Union. In this sense, the Summit in Yerevan will be an opportunity to further strengthen partnerships with European leaders and confirm Montenegro’s commitment to European integration,” the announcement concludes.
