The National Professional Football League has imposed a series of financial sanctions on several Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 clubs, for a total amount exceeding 30 thousand dinars, due to incidents linked in particular to projectile throwing during recent matches.
In detail, a warning accompanied by a fine of 7,500 dinars was imposed on Étoile Sportive du Sahel for repeat offenses, after incidents that occurred during their match against Avenir Sportif de La Marsa. The same sanction was applied to the Bizertin Athletic Club, also in a situation of repeat offense during its meeting against Esperance Sportive de Tunis.
Club Africain was fined a heavier fine of 10,000 dinars, accompanied by a warning, for similar acts during its match against Jeunesse Sportive Kairouanaise.
For its part, Club Sportif Sfaxien was fined 5,000 dinars after projectiles were thrown during its confrontation with Stade Tunisien.
Sanctions have also been imposed on clubs in lower divisions. The Océano Club of Kerkennah was fined 3,000 dinars for repeat offenses during its match against Avenir Sportif of Hammam-Sousse, while Avenir Sportif of Kasserine received the same sanction for similar incidents against Stade Gabésien.
Through these decisions, the League intends to reaffirm its firmness in the face of behavior deemed contrary to the sporting spirit and safety in stadiums. These sanctions come in a context marked by an increase in incidents in the stands, pushing the authorities to strengthen disciplinary measures to prevent any abuse.
