Greenland Police informs Sermitsiaq that a flight had to return to Nuuk on Thursday morning.
– The plane landed without any problems, says Jørgen Madsen from the Greenland Police.
According to Jørgen Madsen, the plane had reported some minor engine problems, and therefore turned around and landed in Nuuk, after circling south-east of the city.
The plane was originally on its way to Ilulissat.
The incident led to several emergency calls to the airport.
Air Greenland informs Sermitsiaq that there was nothing dramatic in the situation and that the landing was carried out as a normal landing.
The aircraft had to return after an indication of a technical fault with one of the engines. The plane landed without problems and with both engines running:
– Flight safety always comes first, and if there is an indication of an error, it must be investigated, explains Inga Dora G. Markussen, Director of Sustainability and Communication at Air Greenland.
A new flight has been added and a new departure later today.
