An armed man shoots from an elevated area at visitors at the Pyramid of the Moon, in Teotihuacán, one of the most important tourist sites in Mexico. The attack leaves two dead, including a Canadian tourist, and at least 13 injured people of different nationalities, according to Mexican authorities.
According to official reports, the aggressor, preliminarily identified as Julio César “N”, 27 years old, acts alone and dies at the scene in an apparent suicide. The incident raises questions about security at the site, while foreign governments react after the presence of international victims.
