A general power outage recorded at midnight affected several districts of Ñeembucú. While the service was quickly restored in Pilar, inland towns were still without power after 16 hours, with concern about economic losses in businesses and the fishing sector.

As reported from the National Electricity Administration (ANDE), the interruption occurred due to a failure in the connection between Ayolas and the Villalbín station.
In the city of Pilar, service was restored about 30 minutes after the outage. However, in districts like Homeland Pass, Mayor Martínez, Itá Korá and other locations, the outage lasted throughout Saturday. Until the closing of this article they were still without electricity.
The prolonged interruption generated discomfort among users, who They questioned the quality of the service provided by ANDE and pointed out that energy problems have been recurring for some time in the department.
Victor Arruaa resident of Mayor Martínez warned that, if the supply does not normalize in the next few hours, there could be significant economic losses due to the breaking of the cold chain of products such as yogurts, dairy products, chicken and meat.
The situation also affects fishermen and collectors that depend on the proper conservation of their products for marketing.
Voltage stabilizer in trouble
The regional head of ANDE, Marcos Troche, reported that the problem originated from an equipment breakdown voltage stabilizer.
“There are three teams of officials working in the area. We are repairing a voltage stabilizer,” he explained.
From the institution they indicated that the tasks continue to fully restore the service in the affected communities.
