This will be the first meeting between the sides in league or championship since the famous 2020 Munster final, when David Power’s side stunned Cork in Páirc Uí Chaoimh. Seán O’Connor, Steven O’Brien, Emmett Moloney and the Feehan brothers – Jimmy and Paudie – are the only survivors in Niall Fitzgerald’s squad who overcame Waterford by five points in their opener.
