Now that the first day of summer has arrived, it’s time to start thinking about summer clothing. The funnest thing about this time of year is that the country’s stores are full of summer clothes waiting to be ripped out in the good weather. There is great joy in summer fashion and bright colors. The colors that stand out the most are royal blue and tomato red. Preferably together.
In many ways, the fashion trends of recent years have revolved around inconspicuous colors such as creamy white, light and dark brown, army green and butter yellow. These colors can be trusted year after year, but this summer there will be more color joy.
Royal blue and tomato red are good on their own and will be featured in skirts, dresses, jackets and accessories. They are eye-catching, set the tone and catch the eye. They are also good together and that can surprise people.
When the clothes in the wardrobe are mostly earthy colors, one can be reluctant to experiment with bright colors. All of a sudden, you feel that those colors don’t match what you already have, and all of a sudden, you become too noticeable. However, there is no need to get lost in this fashion wave, but it is recommended to mix royal blue and tomato red in small doses into everyday life. This can be done with a silk scarf, a belt, a warm top or sandals.
At the French fashion house Celine, these colors were mixed well; each other but also other colors such as brown and dark blue. It may surprise many people how easy it is to mix royal blue and tomato red. But it should be done in moderation.
This outfit shows how easy it is to mix accessories in bright colors with brown-toned clothes.
