The amendments also included an emphasis on supporting the financial sustainability of the Fund Social insuranceWhile preserving the rights of about 11.5 million pensioners, and ensuring their ability to fulfill their obligations during the next stage.
The session witnessed demands from a number of representatives for the necessity of reviewing the value of pensions in light of the high rates of inflation and the decline in purchasing power, with a call to compensate for the erosion of pensions in a manner commensurate with the current economic conditions.
During the discussions, the representatives also stressed the importance of strengthening social protection, developing the insurance system, and expanding the inclusion of irregular workers, in order to achieve a balance between the financial sustainability of the fund and improving the standard of living for pensioners.
