The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisarian Front, Mr. Ibrahim Ghali, sent a message of congratulations to Mr. Cyril Ramaphosa, President of the sisterly Republic of South Africa, on the occasion of his country’s thirty-second celebration of National Day in South Africa, describing the event as a prominent milestone that embodied the values of freedom and equality and became a source of inspiration for peoples yearning for liberation and emancipation.
The message stated, “On the occasion of the Republic of South Africa’s celebration of the thirty-second anniversary of National Day, I would like to extend to Your Excellency, and through you to the brotherly government and people of South Africa, my warmest congratulations and sincere wishes for good health and happiness, and for further progress and prosperity for your dear country.”
President Ibrahim Ghali said, “This glorious occasion represents a milestone in the history of South Africa, embodying the values of freedom, justice and equality that the South African people fought for, and their experience has become a source of inspiration for peoples yearning for liberation and emancipation.”
Once again, the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic is proud of the strong relations of brotherhood and solidarity that bind it to the sister Republic of South Africa, and its deep appreciation for South Africa’s steadfast and supportive positions for the just struggle of the Sahrawi people for freedom and independence.
Emphasizing the keenness of the Sahrawi Republic to continue strengthening relations of cooperation and consultation between the two countries, he expressed its aspiration to consolidate these ties in a way that serves the common interests of our two brotherly peoples and contributes to consolidating security and stability on our African continent.
