May 1st – Labor Day
SAN MARINO – The San Marino Socialist Reformist Party celebrates May Day, an anniversary that spans time and continues to speak to us forcefully, reminding us where we come from and what responsibility we have towards the future.
May Day is not just a date on the calendar: it is a living memory. It is the symbol of the struggles, sacrifices and achievements of millions of workers who, with courage and dignity, have built the rights we benefit from today. It is the story of hands that built communities, of voices that asked for justice, of people who did not accept unjust conditions and believed in a better tomorrow.
Today more than ever, this day takes on a profound value. In a time marked by rapid transformations, precariousness and new inequalities, work returns to being the heart of the social and economic debate. We cannot allow him to lose his dignity, security and perspective. Work must remain an instrument of personal fulfillment, autonomy and participation in collective life.
Celebrating May Day also means renewing a commitment: defending the rights achieved, promoting fair working conditions, guaranteeing opportunities for new generations and leaving no one behind. It means recognizing the human value of work, which is not just production, but identity, dignity and hope.
On this day, our thoughts go to those who work with passion, to those looking for a job, to those facing difficulties and to those who, with responsibility, contribute every day to the well-being of our community.
The San Marino Socialist Reformist Party renews its commitment to building a more just, supportive and inclusive society, where work is truly at the center of people’s policies and lives.
