Mayor of the City of Ljubljana Zoran Janković said at today’s press conference that of Democrats and Resnica MPs after the end of the possible fourth government of Janez Janša will no longer be in the DZ. According to him, what is happening on the domestic political floor will not affect the decision on the new candidacy for mayor, which he will announce on May 8.
At today’s press conference, Janković described a possible fourth Janš government as “very difficult” and warned that if “the government tries to take away any rights, it will not be well received”.
He said that such a government will also have consequences for those who will support it, while announcing that the Democrats and Resnica parties will drop out of parliament after the next election, saying that none of their MPs want to stand for election.
According to Janković, the events related to the formation of the new government are not related to his decision to run for mayor again in the autumn local elections. “My decision is based on other criteria, and I will say this on May 8 at a ceremonial meeting at Ljubljana Castle,” he added.
He also announced that he will take part in the celebrations on Friday’s Labor Day in Rožnik, where he will arrive on foot. “In every company, even in a company dealing with artificial intelligence, the most powerful capital is a person,” he said, expressing his satisfaction with the measures taken by the outgoing government Robert Golob adopted in the field of work, including an increase in the minimum wage and the Christmas bonus.
