According to an analysis by Mercado Libre, fuel savings is the main reason why people are buying electric cars. Added to this is the possibility of exempting the trend, verification and other periodic procedures.

Therefore, below, we share the 5 most economical models:

Its battery, depending on the version, allows an approximate range of between 230 and up to 330 km, enough for urban trips.

Inside it has a multimedia screen, Bluetooth connectivity, air conditioning and electric controls. While safety includes airbags, ABS brakes and ISOFIX anchors.

Although it is not on the Mercado Libre list, it is a good option to consider if you are looking for a vehicle of this type.

The battery is approximately 31.4 kWh, which gives it a autonomy close to 300 km in daily use. In addition, it can be charged between %30 to 80% in a period of 40 to 45 minutes.

Inside, it includes a large 10.25-inch screen with smartphone connectivity, automatic air conditioning and a reverse camera. And for safety, it has front airbags, ABS brakes, stability control and basic assistance such as tire pressure monitoring and hill assist.

    • Price: from $357,000 to $371,000

Regarding its performance, it has an electric motor of approximately 74 hp, which makes it more agile than options like the SEV or even the JAC, being suitable for occasional trips on expressways.

Its battery is one of its main advantages, as it uses BYD’s “Blade” technology, known to be safer, and gives it a capacity close to 30 kWh and a range of between 300 km and up to 380 km. It also adds a fast charging system.

Inside it has a 10.1-inch rotating touch screen, connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, voice commands, and in higher versions it has wireless charging for cell phones.

However, it can move in 100% electric mode over short distances. The manufacturer’s site indicates that this hybrid system delivers around 259 hp combined, giving it superior performance than other small electric cars.

The range achieved is up to 100 km in electric mode, which reduces concerns about constant recharging on urban journeys.

Inside it has a more technological and equipped cabin, with a large 15.4-inch central screen, digital display, voice assistant, ambient lighting, panoramic roof and multiple driving modes.

And in safety, its airbags and a complete package of driving assistance (ADAS) stand out, including autonomous braking, lane maintenance and adaptive cruise control.
