Kastrioti from Ferizaj has won the Kosovo Cup in handball for the third time in a row.
In the dramatic final, on Sunday in the overcrowded “Bill Clinton” gym in Ferizaj, Kastrioti defeated Besa Famgas with a difference of one goal, 28:27.
Alban Haziri scored the goal that secured the victory for Ferizaj.
Besa was in the lead 27:26, while the figures at 27:27, Kastrioti equalized when there were still a minute and a half left until the end of the final match. Gentrit Brahimi scored the equalizing goal with a masterful shot.
Besa had the next action. After the long action, Denis Terziqi’s shot was blocked by Kastriot’s handball players.
Besa started another action. Terziqi tried again, who in the 59th minute and 18 seconds charged a foul in the attack.
Kastrioti had the chance to win the match. He had the last action, which he ended in the best way.
The goal that secured the victory for Kastriot was scored by Alban Haziri. He closed it in the best way, ten seconds before the end.
Besa quickly started one last action. Again the ball was in the hands of Terziqi, who three seconds before the end of the match shot out of the net and thus the party was for Kastriot’s handball players and Ferizaj spectators in large numbers.
The match was pretty even until the final seconds. In this match at Kastrioti, goalkeeper Wadi Chebbi excelled. With his expectations, he helped Kastriot win the Kosovo Cup for the third time in a row.
Kastriot’s goalkeeper also won the award for the best of the final tournament of the Kosovo Cup.
Felippe Teixeira scored the most goals for Kastriot. He scored six goals, while Alban Haziri and Yassine Henahen finished the game with five goals each.
Deniz Terziqi scored 10 goals for Pejans, while Yas Mohamed Omar Ali scored seven goals.
Kastrioti eliminated Rahovec in the semi-finals, while Besa Famgas eliminated Pristina.
