Sebha University has signed a cooperation agreement with the British Council to strengthen the delivery of international examinations, as part of efforts to expand its global academic engagement.
The university said the deal reflects its ambition to achieve excellence at local, regional and international levels, and to build partnerships that support education, research and community service.
According to the university, the agreement’s aim is to develop language education and widen opportunities for students to gain internationally recognised qualifications, improving their academic and career prospects.
The signing follows a visit by an academic team from the university’s Language Centre, which met British Council officials, including its newly appointed director, assistant director and examinations staff.
Both sides agreed to begin by launching the Aptis test programme, with Sebha University’s Language Centre overseeing its delivery.
