A delegation from the Shaikh Tahir Azzawi Charity Organization (STACO) conducted a series of strategic visits to Jakarta to strengthen synergies in social, educational, and humanitarian missions.
On April 8, 2026, the STACO delegation was received directly by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia to discuss strengthening collaboration. This meeting affirmed both parties’ commitment to supporting inclusive and sustainable humanitarian diplomacy, in line with Indonesia’s active role on the global stage.
The STACO delegation also met with the Head of the Cooperation and International Relations Division of the Muhammadiyah Central Leadership. The discussion focused on developing community empowerment programs, particularly in the education and social sectors, which have long been Muhammadiyah’s main strengths. Both institutions agreed that collaboration between civil society organizations is key to reaching those most in need more quickly and effectively.
The Head of the STACO Delegation expressed his deepest appreciation for the warm welcome from the Indonesian side and acknowledged Muhammadiyah’s reputation as one of the largest Islamic organizations successfully managing its charitable endeavors professionally. Through this visit, STACO hopes to adopt the institutional management model implemented in Indonesia for various programs in Libya. This is expected to have a broader positive impact in efforts to improve the welfare and progress of the people.
This collaborative effort serves as an important symbol of strengthening solidarity across borders. In the spirit of global brotherhood, the outcomes of this meeting are expected to also promote self-reliance and prosperity for the international community, particularly Libya and Indonesia.
