Netflix in April 2026 brings an unusually rich selection of horror films, although this genre is not typical for that time of year. However, despite the similar genre and simultaneous release, there is enough variety among the titles to satisfy different tastes of viewers.
We’ve selected three movies worth watching this month, ranked by IMDb ratings. Among them are the original story, the continuation of the famous franchise and the second part of the acclaimed sci-fi horror.
3. “Him” (Serb. “He”) (2025)
The film “Him” raises the question of how much someone is willing to sacrifice in order to become one of the best football players of all time. The story follows Cameron Cade, a talented athlete who grew up admiring the famous quarterback Isaiah White. Kameron followed in the footsteps of his idol and is on the threshold of a great career.
However, a serious head injury threatens to destroy his dreams before he has even played on the big stage. At that moment, Ajzaja and his team offer him the opportunity of a lifetime – to join them and inherit their role model. However, Kameron soon realizes that this offer carries a much higher price than he could have imagined, because behind the success of the team are hidden dark secrets that last for decades.
2. “Scream” (Serb. “Vrisak”) (2022)
The movie “Scream” was filmed before Džena Ortega became a big star, so her character Tara Carpenter has relatively little space on the screen. However, the attack on Tara sets off events that bring her half-sister Sam back to Woodsboro.
Sam had previously drifted away from her life after discovering a disturbing connection to the original murders of the masked killer Ghostface. When a new crime wave begins, old characters like Sidney Prescott, Gale Weathers and Dewey Riley are once again involved in the search for the killer. However, this time it’s not just the hunters, but the targets as well, as the killer wants to eliminate both old and new residents of Woodsboro.
1. “A Quiet Place: Part II” (Serb. “Tiho mesto 2”) (2021)
In the continuation of the popular film “A Quiet Place”, John Krasinski appears briefly, but signs the direction of this successful sequel. After Lee Abbot’s death, his wife Evelin takes on the responsibility of finding a safe haven for herself and her children.
In a world where even the slightest sound can attract deadly alien creatures, survival becomes extremely difficult. The family soon runs into Emet, an old friend who has changed since the beginning of the invasion. Together they try to find salvation, which leads them to a colony of survivors led by a mysterious leader.
